FIL Ring of Honour awarded to Dr Alexander Shakhnazarov

Moscow (RWH)  Dr. Alexander Shakhnazarov has been awarded a Ring of Honour by the International Luge Federation (FIL). The award was presented by FIL President Josef Fendt during his current visit to the Russian capital of Moscow.

The FIL award was presented in recognition of Dr Alexander Shakhnazarov’s achievements. As head of the planning group at Lomonosov Moscow State University, Dr Shakhnazarov and Dr Alexander Ostroumonov played a vital role in the design and construction of the artificial ice track in Paramonovo. The project is located around 80 kilometres outside Moscow and was Russia’s first artificial ice track prior to the Olympic track in Sochi.
