Berchtesgaden (RWH) The Executive Board of the International Luge Federation (FIL) has appointed two newcomers to the Sport Commission. They are Walter Marx Junior from Slovakia and Harald Rolfsen from Norway. Mark Grimmette (USA), two-time Olympic medallist in the double-seater, and Atis Strenga, President of the Latvian National Association, were confirmed as members.

Claire DelNegro (USA) chairs the Sports Commission in her role as Vice President for Sport. Kurt Brugger (Italy), Norbert Loch (Germany) and Markus Prock (AUT) were elected at the FIL Congress. Chris Mazdzer from the USA represents the athletes as their elected spokesperson. As FIL Sport Director, Maria Luise Rainer attends meetings but has no voting rights.
