The FIL tour bus was on the road in Croatia on August 14th and 15th. In Delnice - in the hinterland of the well-known coastal town of Rijeka - interested children could get a first look on natural track luge.

Under the leadership of the head trainer of the FIL group, Christina Götschl, the kids got to know natural track luge for the first time. The basics and first techniques were learned on a wheelluge on a closed road. The children and young people were professionally supported by the Croatian World Cup luge athlete Patricija Urbanc, who was a popular interview partner for the TV journalists present.

“These were two wonderful days, we hope that we could arouse interest in luge on natural track in some of them,” says Ivica Urbanc, the head coach of the Croatian natural track luge team. As part of the FIL tour bus, Urbanc also presented the plans for the construction of 2 tracks for natural track luge in Croatia. There is currently no luge track in Croatia.
Training is fun
The FIL tour bus will continue it’s journey through Europe in the summer, the next stage is Portugal.
