First Virtual Athletes' Forum
Lausanne (FIL) The first virtual Athletes' Forum of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) will take place on 26 and 27 May 2021. As the challenges of the past year have made a face-to-face forum impossible, the event marking the 40th anniversary of the IOC Athletes' Commission will be held digitally for the first time in 2021.
Nearly 2,000 athletes and Olympic representatives have pre-registered for the 10th edition of the International Athletes Forum (IAF).
This year's edition will be organised around two plenary sessions, which will take place on 26 and 27 May 2021 from 14:00 to 17:00 CET. Both sessions will be live-streamed on Athlete365.
The IAF is organised by the Athletes' Commission (AC) of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), chaired by Olympic champion Kirsty Coventry.

IOC President Thomas Bach will join Kirsty Coventry at the IAF, giving an opening speech on the first day and participating in a live Q&A session with athletes on the second day.
A key focus of the Forum, in addition to preparing for the upcoming Summer Olympic Games in Tokyo, will be the implementation of the Olympic Agenda 2020+5 recommendations announced in March 2021, which will benefit athletes around the world, but also provide Athletes' Commissions with the resources they need to do so.
In addition, the IAF will focus on the holistic well-being of athletes, with a dedicated session on mental health, protection and well-being.
