Ilsenburg (RWH) Martin Kilian has passed away. The former President of the Luge and Bobsleigh Federation of the GDR (DSBV) died on 2nd of July at the age of 86. This was now published by the Bob- und Rodelclub 1924 Ilsenburg/Harz.

Kilian, between 1982 and 1990 Vice-President of the International Bob & Skeleton Federation (FIBT), was the last elected President of the roof organisation in Sport (DTSB) of the former GDR. On his 80th birthday he was awarded the golden badge of honour of the German Federation (BSD). Kilian served as a Mayor for 28 years (1962 – 1990) in his hometown Wernigerode.
