EM Herren 2017

Königssee (RWH) Athletes from four national associations mastered the artificial ice track in Königssee to win at least one medal at the 48th European Championships of the International Luge Federation (FIL).

Host nation Germany fared best of all, reaping a total of seven medals (three gold, two silver and two bronze). The Russians finished second with gold for Semen Pavlichenko and silver for Tatjana Ivanova. Austria, which is due to host the 47th FIL World Championships in a fortnight, ended up in third place with two medals, one for Wolfgang Kindl and one for the relay team. The Latvian squad once again defended its reputation as a team relay specialist by winning the bronze medal.
