Altenberg (pps) Thanks to the fourth victory of the season Italy’s European Champions Christian Oberstolz/Patrick Gruber increased their advantage in the overall standings of the Viessmann Luge World Cup. Oberstolz/Gruber won at Altenberg (GER) in a total time of one minute 24,996 seconds followed by Germany’s Patric Leitner/Alexander Resch (0,074 seconds back) and the Olympic Champions Andreas Linger/Wolfgang Linger (0,100 seconds back) from Austria.
Oberstolz/Gruber, who realized their 13th voctory overall, collected 580 points and are in the lead in front of Leitner/Resch (484) and Linger/Linger (470).
Canada’s Chris Moffat/Mike Moffat finished on ninth place (0,901 seconds back) followed by Mark Grimmette/Brian Martin (0,990 seconds back).
