Sarajevo (RWH) Members of the Executive Board of the International Luge Federation (FIL) can expect a packed schedule at the spring meeting in Sarajevo this weekend. The agenda of the meeting in the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina includes preparations for the 52nd FIL Congress in mid-June in PyeongChang (KOR), the sporting calendar for winter 2015/2016, and several draft resolutions. The mayor of Sarajevo has invited the FIL representatives to a reception on Friday. To a common dinner on behalf of the FIL are invited between others the Chairman of the Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the country’s Minister of Culture and Sport. On Saturday, delegates are due to visit the former Olympic track at Mount Trebević. The artificial track, which was used in the 1984 Winter Games before being destroyed in the civil unrest of the early 1990s, has been recommissioned in the past year thanks to an independent initiative under the auspices of Senad Omanović, the President of the national luge federation. With the support of the FIL, numerous luge events are again being held on the lower section of the track.
