Geisenberger, Langenhan and Eggert-Benecken are Champions of Germany

Altenberg (RWH) Natalie Geisenberger, Andi Langenhan and Toni Eggert-Sascha Benecken are the national Champions of Germany in Luge. The 2014 Olympia Champion Geisenberger won her fifth title on the track in Altenberg. Langenhan, who finished fourth at the Olympic Winter Games in Sochi (RUS), claimed his second title as well as the reigning World Champions Eggert-Benecken. All three have won their first titles in 2015. The Olympic season 2017-2018 will start on November 18 in Innsbruck.
Jessica Tiebel, reigning Junior World Champion, surprised with a second place in women’s race. Third place went to former European Champion Dajana Eitberger followed by World Champion Tatjana Hüfner. In doubles Olympic Champions Tobias Wendl-Tobias Arlt finished second. Robin Geueke-David Gamm captured third place as in the 2017 World Championships in Innsbruck.
The team relay event was won by the Bavarian foursome of Natalie Geisenberger, Felix Loch und Wendl-Arlt. Second Place went to the Team of Saxony (Jessica Tiebel, Ralf Palik and Nico Semmler-Johannes Pfeifer) followed by Thuringia (Tatjana Hüfner, Sebastian Bley and Florian Löffler-Florian Berkes.
