Innsbruck (pps) Georg Fischler has been given the „all clear“. After his circulatory problems ahead of the seventh stop of the Viessmann Luge World Cup series in Winterberg last weekend, the 27-year old was now given the “all clear” for his participation at the upcoming World Championships. After thorough medical examinations carried out by Austria’s team physician Dr. Andreas Lutz, Fischler and the Austrian luge team set out on their trip to the 44th World Championships of the International Luge Federation (FIL) in Whistler, Canada. Fischler, 2012 European Champion and World bronze medalist with his doubles partner Peter Penz, is one of the medal candidates on the 2012 Olympic track in Whistler. At the 2013 European Championships in Oberhof (Germany), Penz-Fischler won the bronze medal.
