Altenberg (pps) Germany’s three-time Olympic champion Georg Hackl paid only a short visit
as athlete to the Viessmann Luge World Cup at Cesana Pariol, Italy, where he finished seventh.
As planned, the 39-year-old will not compete at the Viessmann Luge World Cup next
weekend at Altenberg, Germany, but will be a co-commentator for the public German TV
station ZDF.
Besides the new Olympic track at Cesana Pariol, Altenberg is the track where Hackl has
never won a race. His best result at Altenberg was second place at the 1996 World Championships.
ZDF will broadcast extensively from the third Viessmann Luge World Cup as of Friday (November
25). The exact TV transmission times on all channels are being updated constantly in the section "Events".
