Duel between Corinna Martini and Aileen Frisch in the focus
Koenigssee (pps) Just a few days before Christmas Germany’s lugers will crown their national champions on December 22. Tatjana Huefner, Felix Loch and Tobias Wendl-Tobias Arlt are the defending gold medalists on the artificially iced track in Koenigssee.
The duel between European bronze medalist Corinna Martini (photo) and Junior World Champion Aileen Frisch will certainly be in the focus as the two are fighting for the remaining fourth starting place in the women’s singles of the Viessmann Luge World Cup series. Huefner, Natalie Geisenberger and Anke Wischnewski are seeded. At both World Cup events in Innsbruck-Igls and Koenigssee newcomer Frisch claimed a fifth place, while Martini showed a convincing performance when she claimed a third-place finish in Altenberg.
