"We hope that all of them will stay healthy and prepare for the Olympic Games in a concentrated way rather than resting in the last three competitions," explained BSD Sports Director Thomas Schwab. "The final nomination is on 11 January, and until then Dajana Eitberger, Chris Eißler and Robin Geueke/David Gamm are still available as Olympic replacements in any case. Unfortunately, we are still in the middle of the pandemic, and the risk is great that someone else will be infected with the coronavirus at short notice and drop out. That's why we are glad that we still have such good athletes who could also successfully stand in at the Olympics."
