Sigulda (RWH) The German luge relay team has successfully defended its title at the 45th World Championships organised by the International Luge Federation (FIL) in the Latvian town of Sigulda. This makes Germany unbeaten in the team relay since its introduction at the World Championships in 2008. The team comprising Natalie Geisenberger, Felix Loch and Tobias Wendl–Tobias Arlt relegated the Russian team of Tatiana Ivanova, Semen Pavlichenko and doubles duo Andrey Bogdanov–Andrey Medvedev to second place. The bronze medal was won by Canada in the persons of Alex Gough, Sam Edney and Tristan Walker–Justin Snith.
