With a winning margin of 0.233 seconds they earned the title ahead of Germany with Tatjana Huefner, Andi Langenhan and the doubles of Tobias Wendl-Tobias Arlt. With a gap of 0.243 seconds the Italian quartet with Sandra Gasparini, Armin Zoeggeler and Christian Oberstolz-Patrick Gruber claimed bronze.
