Sochi (RWH) Germany’s luge quartet has won the 46th European Championships organised by the International Luge Federation (FIL) in Sochi, Russia. The team of Dajana Eitberger, Felix Loch and Tobias Wendl–Tobias Arlt relegated Russia’s Tatiana Ivanova, Semen Pavlichenko and doubles duo Alexandr Denisyev-Vladislav Antonov to second place. Bronze went to the Latvian team comprising Eliza Tiruma, Inars Kivlenieks and Andris Sics–Juris Sics. The German relay team also collected the Joska Crystal Cup as overall winners of the Viessmann World Cup with a perfect score of 600 points. Russia was second in the overall rankings and the US team, fourth in Sochi, was third.
