Quotes: David Möller (GER, Olympic-fifth 2006, World Champion 2004 and 2007, Vice European Champion 2004, rank three at European Championships 2006 and 2008, rank two in Overall World Cup 2005/06, 2006/07 and 2007/08): “Our team had resolved a lot for Sigulda and with the victories of the doubles and women and in the team relay we can be very satisfied. The relay is a serious competition for all teams, everyone wants to win, but there are a lot of things that can go wrong from the fast reaction at the start to hitting the pad at the finish. Although, the relay is also fun for us and the spectators.” Daniel Pfister (AUT, fourth rank at European Championships 2008, Vice Junior World Champion 2006 and 2007): “The weekend was perfect and the second rank in the team relay was a very good final for that. For us and the spectators it is an exciting competition and that you compete with the whole team is something very special. But in spite of all the fun it’s also a serious race for us.” Andris Sics (LAT, Olympic-seventh 2006, seventh rank at World Championships 2008, bronze medal with the team at European Championships 2006, European Relay-Champions 2008): “This third rank is a fantastic final for the home World Cup with alll the fans, friends and families in Sigulda. The team relay is a good competition for Latvia, after all we are the first European Champions in luge history.”
