Sigulda (pps) World and defending Champion Germany won the third Viessmann Luge World Cup Team Relay event. At the World Cup stop in Sigulda, Latvia, the protégés of head coach Norbert Loch – Natalie Geisenberger, Felix Loch and Tobias Wendl-Tobias Arlt – claimed their third victory in the pre-Olympic season.
Italy’s quartet with Sandra Gasparini, Armin Zoeggeler and Christian Oberstolz-Patrick Gruber earned a second-place finish. The Russian team with Tatiana Ivanova, Albert Demchenko and Pavel Kuzmich-Boris Kuryshkin finished in third position.
After three of six Team Relay events Germany is leading the overall rankings with 300 points.
