Winterberg (pps) The German team at the bobtrack in Winterberg (Germany) won the second test of the Luge Team Relay. Four times World Champions at the doubles Patric Leitner/Alexander Resch, three times European Champion Silke Kraushaar-Pielach and two times World Champion David Möller won in the overall time of 2 minutes 29,083 seconds.
Second place went to the Russian team in the line-up with Michail Kuzmich/Jurij Veselov, Alexandra Rodionova, Albert Demtschenko (2 minutes 29,684 seconds) followed by Austria with Tobias Schiegl/Markus Schiegl, Nina Reithmayer and Manuel Pfister (2 minutes 29,966 seconds).
With the victory before the 23rd Viessmann Luge World Cup at the bobtrack in Winterberg (10th and 11th February) the German team also won the overall ranking of the team competition with 300 points followed by Canada (270 points) and the USA (260).
