Germany wins thrilling relay race ahead of Austria

Winterberg (FIL/07 Dec 2025) It was exciting right up to the finish at the EBERSPÄCHER Team Relay World Cup presented by BMW, with the teams from Austria and Germany locked in a thrilling duel. Germany came out on top in the end. Merle Fräbel, Tobias Wendl/Tobias Arlt, Felix Loch, and Jessica Degenhardt/Cheyenne Rosenthal finished in 3:13.150 minutes.

Hannah Prock, Juri Gatt/Riccardo Schöpf, Jonas Müller, and Selina Egle/Lara Kipp competed for Austria. They were 0.629 seconds slower. “It was a strong team performance,” said German head coach Patric Leitner, “this victory is the icing on the cake for this weekend.” He also had words for the runners-up: “The Austrians also did a great job this weekend.”

Third place went to the Latvian team (Elina Bota, Martins Bots/Roberts Plume, Kristers Aparjods, Anda Upite/Madara Pavlova), 1.641 seconds behind. Poland came fourth (2.622 seconds behind) ahead of Ukraine (3.120) and the young team from Italy (3.225). The team from Romania was disqualified for a false start.
