Düsseldorf (RWH) Great Honour for Alois Schnorbus. The long-time President of the BSC Winterberg, former company officer with statutory authority of the Bobsleigh and Luge track of Winterberg and 1980 Olympian was awarded with badge of honour in Sport from the German state of Nordrhein-Westfalen (NRW). The 67-year-old Schnorbus was granted with the highest distinction for Sports in Düsseldorf, the capital of NRW.

Together with Schnorbus the award among others received Ingrid Klimke, several time Olympic Champion, World and European Champion in Equestrian Eventing, and Handball-Legend Heiner Brand, World Champion as a Player as well as a Coach. Since the inauguration in 1959 the prize for athletes and volunteers was appointed just to 887 people and only three teams.
