Calgary (pps) USA’s Mark Grimmette/Brian Martin repeated their last year’s victory in Viessmann Luge World Cup at Calgary (CAN). The Olympic Bronze Medallists from 1998 and the Silver Medallists from 2002 took the win in a total time of one minute 27,912 seconds. Latvia’s Andris Sics/Juris Sics realized a big surprise by capturing the second place (1:27,974). Third place went to Austria’s Tobias Schiegl/Markus Schiegl (1:28,032).
In the overalls standings Italy’s Christian Oberstolz/Patrick Gruber (300 points) are still in the lead followed by Schiegl/Schiegl (285) and Germany’s Patric Leitner/Alexander Resch (266).
