Val Gardena (PMA) Men's competition at the Italian National Luge Championships on Natural Track in Plan de Gralba ended with a small surprise. Alex Gruber beat current World Champion and Overall World Cup Winner Patrick Pigneter at the track near Val Gardena. Pigneter managed to win the Doubles title partnering Florian Clara. Evelin Lanthaler won the Ladies race.
