
Gruber beats Pigneter in a hundredth thriller at Deutschnofen
Deutschnofen (PMA) - At the men's competition in Deutschnofen the two Italians Alex Gruber and Patrick Pigneter are fighting for the win. The battle is becoming a hundredth thriller. Gruber has the luckier end. He wins with an advantage of four hundredths of a second. It is his third victory, his second at Deutschnofen. Pigneter is still leading at the Overall World Cup before the final round at Umhausen. Austrian Thomas Kammerlander finishes third ahead of teammate Florian Glatzl who secures his best career finish. Fifth place went to Italy and Florian Clara. Moscow winner Aleksandr Egorov takes sixth place.
