The FIL Luge World Cup on Natural Track has arrived in the Russian capital Moscow. The race-weekend has a thight schedule with the "city race" and the pursuit competition.

The third station in the calendar is Moscow, the „Vorobyevy Gory“-track („sparrow hills“-track) in the Russian capital is located in the park between the University and the Moskva River. In 2017 due to weather conditions the World Cup in Moscow was cancelled, now everyone is looking forward to the return of the Luge World Cup on Natural Track to Moscow. The 520-meter ice track hosts the first double World Cup of the season, beside the "normal" World Cup on Friday and Saturday, the spectacular pursuit race is scheduled on Saturday and Sunday.


Evelin Lanthaler (ITA) is leading the women World Cup standing, Thomas Kammerlander (AUT) and Alex Gruber (ITA) are tied on top of the men’s standing and Patrick Pigneter / Florian Clara (ITA) are leading the overall standing in the doubles.
