Igls (ÖRV/FIL, 27 Nov. 2022) Before the start of the EBERSPÄCHER World Cup next weekend in Innsbruck-Igls, Austria's artificial track stars absolved one last endurance test with the national championships on their home track. The decisions were made in three runs, the first and second run were scored for the Austrian National Championships, the second and third for the Tyrolean Championships.

In the men's race, Nico Gleirscher secured the title of State Champion for the first time in his career. In the women's event, Hannah Prock can look forward to the state championship title for the second time after 2017.  In the doubles, Thomas Steu and Lorenz Koller secured their sixth championship title in a row.

"We were on the road a lot during the whole preparation, still needed rides on the home track and could use the week well for that. The championship was a final test under competition conditions. The ambition was clear, everyone wanted to sign on, there were exciting decisions. We have seen where we still need to make adjustments and will approach the remaining training days accordingly," said head coach Christian Eigentler.
