Anif near Salzburg (pps) This year’s meeting of International Luge Federation (FIL) and event organizers was held in Anif near Salzburg, Austria, in an exceptionally harmonious atmosphere. The meeting, which was attended by representatives of as many as ten event organizers, mainly focused on six Team Relay Competitions scheduled for the upcoming season. After successful tests conducted in the post-Olympic season, the 2007/2008 events schedule includes the Team Relay Competitions at the World Championships in Oberhof and at the European Championships in Cesana as well as four Suzuki Team Relays, which will be staged in Lake Placid, Winterberg, Königssee and Sigulda.

In the upcoming season, as in previous years, events will be assessed by an evaluation commission. A FIL representative said that the level of all events had been increased through this evaluation system.
All event organizers received the “50 Years FIL” books as a gift.
