Berlin (pps) Italy’s two-time Olympic champion Armin Zöggeler is not yet considering resigning. „In any case I will continue for one more year“, said the Olympic bronze medalist after his return from the Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver, Canada. „Health permitting, maybe even two more years.” The 2010/2011 FIL World Championships will be held on the Olympic track in Cesana, Italy, where Zöggeler is to date still unbeaten.
Besides the two Olympic gold medals, Zöggeler also won five gold medals at World Championships and altogether nine Overall Viessmann World Cup crowns. The 36 year-old Italian only needs one more overall crown in order to draw level with Austria’s record winner Markus Prock.
