Berchtesgaden (RWH) High-ranking representatives of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) recently visited the office of the International Luge Federation (FIL) in Berchtesgaden. IOC Sports Director Kit McConnell and Irina Gladkikh, responsible for the winter sports associations, met with FIL Executive Director Christoph Schweiger and his deputy Babett Wegscheider to discuss a wide range of topics, including a review of Sochi 2014, an outlook on the 2018 Winter Olympic Games in PyeongChang, Korea, and information on the status of bids for the Youth Olympic Games in 2020 and the Winter Olympics in 2022.
