Successful premiere on the new track in Jaufental (ITA). At the FIL Luge Junior World Cup on Natural Track on January 4th and 5th there was a home win for Italy with Nadine Staffler and Florian Haselrieder.

In the women's single  the freshly-baked Italian Junior Champion Nadine Staffler showed her skills, the 19-year-old set the best time in both runs and won in 1: 49.01 minutes, 1.54 seconds ahead of Riccarda Ruetz (AUT). Third place went to Vanessa Mark (AUT), who improved from fifth to third place in the second run.

The men's single victory took Florian Haselrieder (ITA), the 18-year-old led a quadruple-victory of the "Azzurri" in 1: 44.66 minutes. His teammates Daniel Gruber (+1.66 seconds), Fabian Brunner (+2.66) and Maximilian Grunser (+3.70) are following on positions 2 to 4.

Maximilian Pichler / Matthias Pichler (AUT) set a back-to-back win in the doubles, after the opening in Winterleiten the Austrians also won in Jaufental. The Slovenians Bine Mekina / Blaz Mekina followed in second place with a gap of 0.54 seconds, only 0.02 seconds behind were the Italians Fabian Brunner / Alex Oberhofer in third place.

For the ASV Jaufental it was the 1st FIL competition on the new "Tonnerboden" track in the Wipptaler Luge Centre. The next Junior World Cup will take place on January 18th-19th in Laas (ITA).
