Ice track sport as an experience for families in Switzerland

St. Moritz (FIL/20 Oct. 2022) The 2022/23 season is approaching and so is the special exhibition "Bob Run Days" at the Swiss Museum of Transport. From Friday, 21 to Sunday, 23 October 2022 (from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day), visitors will not only be able to explore the extremely interesting exhibition areas of the Swiss Museum of Transport, but will also have the opportunity to test the ice track sports for themselves.

In addition to the bobsleigh run by Marcel Rohner (Olympic silver medallist in Nagano), there will also be a luge run to try out for the first time. The representatives of Swiss Sliding, luge department - Käthi Maag and Nina Reithmayer (Olympic silver medallist in Vancouver) - as well as the Swiss junior luger Micha Rappel will help children and adults with their first attempts on the luge sled and answer all questions about luge.
There will also be a skeleton simulator with VR glasses for a ride through the world's only natural ice track in St. Moritz.

Those interested can take advantage of the opportunity to try out the exciting ice track sports with the whole family. Perhaps the world champions of tomorrow will be found during the "Bob Run Days 2022".

Permanent exhibition

In 2018, the permanent exhibition of the Olympic Bob Run St. Moritz - Celerina was opened at the Swiss Museum of Transport. In the "Navigation, Cableways and Tourism Hall", there is a cutaway model of a 4-man bobsleigh and a vintage bobsleigh, as well as a skeleton sled and a luge, and information on the history of bobsleigh track construction and its influence on tourism in the Engadine throughout the year.
The permanent exhibition of the Olympic Bob Run can be visited 365 days a year between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. (winter) or 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. (summer) at the Swiss Museum of Transport in Lucerne.
