FIL President Josef Fendt calls 61st Congress
Berchtesgaden (pps) On Wednesday (March 20), the President of the International Luge Federation (FIL), Josef Fendt of Germany, has officially called the 61st FIL Congress. For the first time in the FIL history, Turkey and its metropolis Istanbul will be hosting the Congress on June 28-29, 2013.
The FIL preparations in the 2013-2014 season with regard to the XXII Olympic Winter Games in Sochi (Russia, February 7-23, 2014) will take center stage on the agenda. There will be no elections during the Congress but numerous luge championships on natural and artificially refrigerated tracks will be allocated.
