Berchtesgaden (ck) - On two weekends, from November 22nd-25th and December 13th-16th, an international instructor course for natural track luge will be held. During first weekend in Salzburg (AUT) mainly theory lectures like training science, sports biology, structures and history of the FIL will be taught, whereas the second weekend in Umhausen (AUT) will focus on practical work on the race track. Target group are mostly coaches from nations in which the luge structures are in a developmental stage and national educations are not yet available. The FIL instructor course is meant to be a basic starting point and will touch all necessary areas of a solid trainer education without replacing such an education. The main focus will be on beginners coaching. The course will be compiled of approximately 35 learning units and will be rounded up by a short test. The lecturers will be experts in the fields of luge, sport science and sports medicine.
