Cesana (pps) The double’s race at the Viessmann Luge World Cup at Cesana (ITA) was an “Italian affaire”. On their home track even two doubles were in front.
The victory was taken by the European Champions Christian Oberstolz/Patrick Gruber followed by their team-mates and Olympic Bronze Medalists Gerhard Plankensteiner/Oswald Haselrieder. It was the second victory of the Season for Oberstolz/Gruber and the 12th overall.
Third place went to Latvia’s Brothers Andris and Juris Sics. Mark Grimmette/Brian Martin from USA finished on 10th place followed by Canada’s Chris Moffat/Mike Moffat.
