Statements: Patrick Pigneter (ITA): „It looks easier as it is in reality. I’m training very hard to be in a perfect shape in winter. Everybody wants to beat me. It is my mental strength which helps me dealing with the pressure. To win again two Gold medals is a great feeling” Evelin Lanthaler (ITA): „Finally it worked out. I was in the lead after two runs and really nervous. It went perfect and I was able to defend my lead against Ekaterina Lavrentyeva” Alex Gruber (ITA): „I was always in the hunt but Patrick gave me no opportunity to beat him. He was perfect and I’m really happy winning the silver medal” Ekaterina Lavrentyeva (RUS): „Conditions changed every run. You have to prepare yourself perfect. Normally I’m really good doing that, but this time I had some mistakes in the first two runs” Florian Breitenberger (ITA): „I’m into this sport for a long time and it was my biggest dream to win a medal. Today I fulfilled my dream. Greta Pinggera (ITA): „I’m so happy with my medal and that I shared the podium with my room-mate Evelin. Fastest room at Natural Track!”
