Laas/Lasa (FIL/02.02.2025) – The 850-metre-long ice track on the edge of the Stelvio National Park was in excellent condition for the final of the 2024/2025 Junior World Cup. In the women’s singles, Lotte Mulser (ITA) seized the opportunity and secured her second victory of the season with a total time of 2:09.28 minutes, finishing ahead of Nina Castiglioni (ITA/+0.12 seconds) and Jenny Castiglioni (ITA/+0.18), who had led after the first run. With two wins, a second-place finish, and a third-place finish, Mulser also claimed the overall Junior World Cup title for the first time with 355 points, ahead of Jenny Castiglioni (310) and Nina Castiglioni (305). "It feels so cool; I didn’t expect this at the start of the winter," said Mulser, who does not see herself as the favourite for the Junior European Championships in mid-February in Latsch/Laces (ITA): "The gaps at the top are so narrow, which makes it really exciting on the one hand, but on the other hand, tiny details determine whether you win or finish fourth."
A new winner emerges

The men’s singles saw a first-time winner in Michael Noah Tinzl (ITA), the local hero who claimed his maiden Junior World Cup victory on his home track with a total time of 2:07.15 minutes. Previously, his best result had been a fifth-place finish at the race in Passeier (ITA) earlier this year. Second place in the final went to Alex Oberhofer (ITA/+0.15 seconds), while Florian Freigassner (AUT/+0.64) finished third. With three victories and a second-place finish, Oberhofer successfully defended his overall World Cup title, securing 385 points and clearly outperforming Vid Kralj (SLO/290) and Ziga Kralj (SLO/275). "My goal was to win all the races this season – I didn’t quite manage that. Nevertheless, I am closing my final year in the Junior World Cup on a very positive note; I have made another big step forward," said Oberhofer, who aims to win gold at the Junior European Championships.
In the doubles competition, Anton Gruber Genetti/Jakob Gruber Genetti (ITA) secured the overall title with 385 points.
The Junior European Championships are scheduled on February 15th-16th in Latsch/Laces (ITA).
