Italy wins Team Relay in difficult conditions in Altenberg

Altenberg (FIL) The team from Italy secured victory at the second EBERSPÄCHER Team Relay World Cup presented by BMW in Altenberg, Saxony. In the end, the quartet from South Tyrol had a lead of +0.230 seconds on the relay team from Russia in the ice channel at Kohlgrund. In third place was the team from Latvia.

The Russian team with the winner of the day before Tatyana Ivanova, former world champion Semen Pavlichenko and the sprint world champions Aleksandr Denisev / Vladislav Antonov convincingly secured the silver rank before the Latvians with Kendija Aprjode, her brother Kristers Aparjods and the old masters Andris Sics/Juris Sics (+0.584).

The German quartet Natalie Geisenberger, Felix Loch and Toni Eggert / Sascha Benecken came fourth (+0.622).
