Join WADA's Play True Day

Berchtesgaden (FIL) Every year since 2014, WADA and the anti-doping community worldwide have celebrated Play True Day on 9 April - a day dedicated to clean sport to raise awareness among athletes and the public about the importance of protecting clean sport.

This year's theme is "What does Play True mean to you?". WADA is therefore inviting all athletes, national and regional anti-doping organisations, sports federations, governments, major event organisers and other anti-doping stakeholders from around the world to participate in the social media campaign on 9 April 2021.

As in previous years, in order to engage as many stakeholders as possible, WADA has created a series of branded visuals (available in English, French and Spanish) for participants to embed and share their own photos and videos for Play True Day 2021. These include:

Branded frames that can be inserted into photo or video messages;

A Play True Pledge that can either be printed and personalised or digitally personalised for various social media platforms; and Various GIFs that are created for the day and can be used on Instagram. The hashtags #PlayTrue and #PlayTrueDay will be used to extend the reach and influence of the campaign on social media.

The campaign can be followed via the dedicated Play True Day social media wall Play True Day - Social Media Wall | World Anti-Doping Agency (wada-ama.org)
