Paramonova/Russia (pps) The organizers of the first events ever held on the new artificial track in Paramonova nearby Moscow were widely praised. “The organizers made a good job and we saw a perfect preparation of the track”, Marie-Luise Rainer, Coordinator of the Junior World Cup Tour of the International Luge Federation (FIL), said after the race.
Julian von Schleinitz as well as Dajana Eitberger travelled home with two victories in their luggage. In the doubles race the Italian couple Ludwig Rieder/Patrick Rastner won the season’s opener, on Saturday Nico Walther/Nico Grünneker (GER) came out as the winner. In the men’s race Robbie Huerbin realized third place, the best result for team USA. Fourth place went to Russia’s Jewgeni Voskresenski.
