Natalie Burkhardt, Florian Berkes and Loeffler-Kuechler Winterberg (pps) This season’s overall junior World Cup winners are Natalie Burkhardt, Florian Berkes and Julius Loeffler-Florian Kuechler, all of Germany. While Burkhardt prematurely won the overall rankings ahead of the final event in Winterberg (Germany), compatriot Berkes won the overall crown thanks to a fourth-place finish. In the doubles event the third-place finish of Loeffler-Kuechler was enough to take the overall World Cup. Chris Eichler (GER), who won the junior World Cup final in Winterberg, and Italian Kevin Fischnaller are on second and third place, respectively, in the men’s singles. In the women’s singles rankings, Italian Sandra Robatscher finished in second position ahead of Germany’s Saskia Langer. Winner of the junior World Cup final was Carolin von Schleinitz, who had won the silver medal at the junior World Championships in Park City (U.S.A.) behind U.S. luger Emily Sweeney. Tim Brendel-Florian Funk of Germany, the current junior World Champions in the doubles, won the final in Winterberg. They are in second position in the overall World Cup rankings ahead of Tyler Andersen-Anthony Espinoza (U.S.A.).
