
Junior World Cup wins for Germany and Austria
Umhausen (PMA) - Austrian Fabian Achenrainer and Theresa Maurer from Germany are the winners of the Junior World Cup races held at the natural track at Umhausen in Austria. The young gun from Austria wins the first run with an advantage of more than a second. He is also scoring the best time at the second run and finishes the race ahead of New Zealands Jack Leslie. The two young athletes are battling for the Overall Junior World Cup, seperated by only 10 points before the last race held at Kindberg in Austria. Third place at Umhausen went ex aequo to Italian Philip Haselrieder and Austrian Thomas Hörburger.
Theresa Maurer celebrate her second season victory at the ladies event. She is ahead of four young Italian athletes. Alexandra Pfattner finishes second, Daniela Mittermair third. Fourth and fifth place went to Camilla Singer and Nadine Staffler. Theresa Maurer leads the Overall Junior World Cup before the last race at Kindberg. She is 25 points ahead of Pfattner.
