Junior World Cups in Whistler and Königssee cancelled

Berchtesgaden (FIL) The Junior World Cups 2020/21 in Whistler (CAN) and Berchtesgaden-Königssee (GER) have unfortunately to be cancelled due to the current coronavirus pandemic.

The FIL Executive Board decided this due to the many uncertainties in the planning. “Travel restrictions and conditions are difficult to calculate and change constantly. In order to guarantee the safety of our athletes, there is no other possibility. We very much regret the necessary cancellations“, FIL Executive Director Schweiger explained the decision.

The 3rd and 4th Junior World Cup of the North American Series were originally planned to take place in Whistler, Canada, from December 12 to 23, 2020. Berchtesgaden-Königssee would have hosted the 1st and 2nd Junior World Cup of the European Series and the 42nd Junior European Championships from December 14 to 20, 2020.
