Riga (pps) Juris Sics, together with his brother Andris winner of the silver medal in the men's doubles event at the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver, suffered serious but not life threatening injuries in a car crash last week. According to the Latvian luge federation, Juris Sics was on his way home after an evening training session when the traffic accident happened due to adverse weather conditions. His doctors say that he faces a long rehabilitation period.
