Umhausen (PMA) - At the final race of the natural track season 2015/16 the qualification was held on Friday. Austrian and local hero Thomas Kammerlander and Italian Greta Pinggera were the fastest and are leading before the final competition run.
Kammerlander, the new European Champion, is on first place after the qualification run. 0,29 seconds behind him is World Cup Leader Patrick Pigneter. If he makes no mistakes he is able to win his eleventh title in a row. On third place is his doubles-partner Florian Clara ahead of Alex Gruber.
At the women’s event Italian Greta Pinggera set the fastest time of the qualification run. She is leading with more than half a second ahead of team and room-mate Evelin Lanthaler. Russian Ekaterina Lavrentyeva is third. Only hundredths behind her is German Theresa Maurer who aims for the first World Cup Podium for the German ladies.
Pigneter/Clara won the doubles qualification. It was a tough match against local team Christoph Regensburger and Dominik Holzknecht from Austria.
