Berchtesgaden (RWH) Hans-Jürgen Köhne from Germany has been reappointed Vice Chairman of the Commission for Youth/Development of the International Luge Federation (FIL). General Secretary Svein Romstad (USA) is Chairman of the Commission.

Köhne, club chairman of BSC Hallenberg, which hosts the Viessmann Luge World Cup in Winterberg each year, was elected at the FIL Congress in Innsbruck, along with the Austrian Markus Kleinheinz, overall winner of the Viessmann Luge World Cup in winter 2002/2003.

The Executive Board of the FIL also appointed Dr Jörg Ellermeyer (Germany), Aivars Kalnins (Latvia), Dmitry Kasatkin (Russia), Maria Loch (Germany), Zianibeth Shattuck-Owen (USA), Juriy Sobota (Ukraine) and Sorina Ticu (Romania) as members of the Commission. FIL coach Petr Kinzel and Maria Jasencakova, Permanent Technical Delegate at FIL Junior Events, both attend meetings but do not have voting rights.
