Lake Placid (pps) In the 2006-2007 season, Lake Placid did not host a Viessmann Luge World Cup. The two-time Olympic host city carried out its last World Cup event in the winter 2005-2006 when the title winners were Germany’s Silke Kraushaar in the women’s single, Armin Zoeggeler of Italy in the men’s single and Patric Leitner-Alexander Resch (Germany) in the double-seater.
