Lake Placid World Cup broadcast to premiere December 13 
International Luge Federation to host program on its YouTube channel.

Lake Placid (FIL/USA Luge, 13.12.2023) USA Luge in cooperation with the International Luge Federation (FIL), has streamed extensive coverage of the Eberspaecher Luge World Cup from Lake Placid on Wednesday, December 13 at 1:00 p.m. ET on the FIL YouTube channel.

The competitions took place on December 8-9 at the Olympic Sports Complex at Mt. Van Hoevenberg in Lake Placid. Athletes from the United States earned a total of five medals, including a gold for the men’s doubles team of Zack DiGregorio (Medway, Mass.) and Sean Hollander (Lake Placid, N.Y.).

“The FIL streams every World Cup and World Championship competition live on its YouTube channel. We want to drive as much traffic to the site with the goal of building an audience and creating viewership habits,” said Gordy Sheer, director of marketing, USA Luge. “The channel also archives the entire season for fans to enjoy all year long.”

USA Luge was awarded a grant by the New York State Regional Economic Development Council to support the required broadcast of the World Cup competition in Lake Placid. The grant also helped fund the December 13 broadcast.
