Leppävirta with summer luge track in Finnish ice cave

Leppävirta (FIL) In Leppävirta, Finland, there is an ice cave with a luge track. The training track for luge on ice and with a few curves is always built in spring by the staff of the Leppävirta Ice Cave.

By May 2022, the track will be ready and available for training. From 20 May, the luge team from Finland will train there.

Leppävirta is located in the Finnish region of Savo with 9402 inhabitants. This is in the landscape of Nordsavo, 24 kilometres north of the city of Varkaus and 52 kilometres south of Kuopio.
