Lillehammer (RWH) On February 12, 2015 it’s exactly one year to go to the opening of the 2016 Youth Olympic Winter Games (YOG) in Lillehammer. The City in Norway, host of the 1994 Winter Olympics, then for ten days welcomes about 1,100 young athletes aged 15 to 18 from 70 nations to compete in 70 medal events.The young athletes of the International Luge Federation (FIL) will hold their races at the Olympic track of 1994 in Hunderfossen near Lillehammer. Lillehammer celebrates the One Year to Go with a four day event from February 11th - exactly 21 years since the opening ceremony in 1994 - to February 14th with a small sneak peak of what to expect in 2016, such as Norwegian artists, culture performances, ski movies and more.
