Altenberg (pps) 4th race – 4th different winner: Austria`s Andreas und Wolfgang Lin-ger celebrated theier 1st victory in Viessmann Luge World Cup in Altenberg (Ger-many).
The brothers won in a total time one minute 25,116 seconds followed by Germany`s Olympic Champions Patric Leitner/Alexander Resch (1:25,184) and their teammates Tobias Schiegl/Markus Schiegl (1:25,251).
Linger/Linger are the 4th diffenrent winner in 4th race of the season. In Park City (USA) Mark Grimmette/Brian Martin won the race, in Calgary Leitner/Resch captured the victory and last week in Oberhof Gerhard Plankensteiner/Oswald Haselrieder from Italy stood top on the podium.
Grimmette/Martin lost the lead in the overall standings with 275 points to Leit Leit-ner/Resch. In 3rd place are now Linger/Linger (270).

Wolfgang Linger (Österreich): „It is a great feeling. At the opening of the season we recocnized a steep forward, but we did not expected to win a rase as soon as it ah-hepend.
Patric Leitner (Olympiasieger): „It was a diificult week for us after the problem we did have last weekend in Oberhof. Without problems with the slede we are allways top. Our goal is to win to World Cup und catching the qualification für the Worlds.“
Tobias Schiegl (Österreich): „First run war terrible. It is great for our team to have a nother winning team in Linger/Linger.”
